Courtesy of the club members hard work on the walk and collecting at the proms we are now the proud owners of a new automated external defibrillator, both of those events were organised by Exmouth's rotary club

visited our coast to run an away training day and demo some of there equipment and coaching with us in East Devon

This year was the first running of the Dawlish Triathlon, they did it properly by including a SEA swim, which the club were invited along to, to provide safety cover via our Rescue Boat and a few of our guards on paddle boards.
The event went well with a healthy turn out and a well disciplined event.

Dawlish surf lifesaving Club provided a Menu, i repeat a menu for the volunteers, this was a first and somewhat of a shock from other events.

The event requires a lot of energy and can be quite exhausting
which unfortunately doesn't leave much conversation for Maff on the drive home

It just so happens that this old guy was one of the forefathers of Surfing, the one and only Bing Copeland the creator of
visited North Devon for a weekend to promote a new film 'Boardroom' and showcase some of his beautiful surfboard creations with his head shaper Matt Calvani, a few of the club visited both the sand of Saunton and parked their bums in Croyde Village hall for the première screening.
The Hoppins Clan were out in force as were Team Tom to soak up 60 + years of surfing, lifeguarding and beach culture
